Last Man Standing is a free-to-play action survival game developed by Australian-based game developer, Pheonise. The game's main objective is to be the sole player who will stay alive among the sea of players and non-player characters (NPC). The challenge, however, is how you will find the others and how will they find you, as both players and NPCs look identical to each other.   

A multiplayer game with a truckload of issues

This multiplayer action game is designed to be played by two or more players. There are up to 64 NPCs that you could use as a decoy to make the challenge of finding the target players even harder. In order to play this, you must be connected to a local area network (LAN) or a wide area network (WAN). There is no server browser offered for this game yet thus, you must connect directly through an internet protocol (IP).

Last Man Standing can be highly configured. You have two game location options: in a fountain or a watermill. You can also set the number of max players who will join your game and the number of max bots who will serve as a decoy. If you are hosting the game, you need to click "Play and host" and share your IP address with your friends. Just press the button that says "Hold to show up" in order to see your IP. On the other hand, your friends must fill the "Join a game" field with the address that you gave so that they can enter the game.

This survival game provides exciting gameplay, especially if you have many friends whom you can play with. However, it can’t be guaranteed that you will have the best experience because of the large number of technical issues it exhibits. For instance, when you try to play games with your friend, it gets stuck and stays on the "Connecting" screen. There are cases wherein whenever a player successfully joins the game, they are immobile and cannot move. Oftentimes, the bots are not appearing even when you specified that there should be some.

A huge revamp is necessary

Last Man Standing has a very interesting game concept that could really grab your attention and makes you want to give it a go. However, that interest could be in vain because of the game’s numerous drawbacks. It is recommended for you to play a different survival action game until the developer fixed what the game badly needs.
